Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: March 12, 2026

Welcome to the website of Valparaiso Creative Council (“VCC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using this website, purchasing merchandise, registering for events or classes, or participating in VCC programs, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use this website.

1. Use of Website

This website is provided for informational purposes and to allow users to purchase merchandise, register for events and classes, and learn about the programs and activities of Valparaiso Creative Council.

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with or disrupt the website or the experience of other users.

2. Merchandise Sales

Pickup Only

All merchandise purchased through this website is pickup only. Valparaiso Creative Council does not offer shipping or delivery at this time. Pickup instructions and location details will be provided at the time of purchase or via email.

Returns and Exchanges

All merchandise sales are final unless an item is defective.

If you receive a defective item, please contact us within 7 days of pickup so that we can arrange a replacement or exchange.

Items may be exchanged for size, when applicable and when inventory allows. Exchanges must be requested within 7 days of pickup, and items must be unused and in original condition. Valparaiso Creative Council reserves the right to deny exchanges if items appear worn, damaged, or altered after pickup.

3. Event and Class Registration

Valparaiso Creative Council hosts and promotes a variety of creative events, workshops, and classes.

Many classes and workshops are taught by independent artists or instructors who determine their own policies regarding cancellations, refunds, and transfers.

Because policies vary by instructor:

  • Cancellation and refund policies are determined by the individual instructor or teacher.

  • Participants are encouraged to contact the instructor directly before purchasing if they have questions about cancellation or refund policies.

  • In many cases, refunds may not be available once a class is purchased.

Valparaiso Creative Council is not responsible for refund or cancellation decisions made by individual instructors.

4. Minimum Enrollment for Classes

Some classes or workshops may require a minimum number of participants in order to take place.

If minimum enrollment is not met, the class may be canceled or rescheduled. Participants will be notified and provided with available options such as rescheduling, credit, or refund when applicable.

5. Event Changes or Cancellations

Occasionally events or classes may need to be rescheduled, modified, or canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather, instructor illness, or facility issues.

If an event organized directly by Valparaiso Creative Council is canceled or rescheduled, we will attempt to notify registered participants and provide information regarding refunds, credits, or rescheduling when appropriate.

6. Photo and Media Release

By attending or participating in events, classes, or programs organized or promoted by Valparaiso Creative Council, you acknowledge that photographs, video recordings, and other media may be taken during the event.

By participating, you grant the Valparaiso Creative Council permission to use photographs, video, or other recordings in which you may appear for promotional, marketing, educational, and archival purposes, including use on:

  • The VCC website

  • Social media platforms

  • Promotional materials

  • Newsletters and publications

No compensation will be provided for such use.

If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please notify event organizers when you arrive.

7. Participant Responsibility and Liability

Participation in art workshops, creative activities, and events may involve the use of materials, tools, or equipment.

By registering for and participating in VCC events or classes, you acknowledge that participation is voluntary and that you assume responsibility for your own safety and conduct.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Valparaiso Creative Council shall not be liable for injuries, damages, or losses arising from participation in events or classes.

Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children attending VCC programs unless otherwise specified.
